VIKING X-TREME
The Viking X-treme is made from a strong lightweight polyurethane material,

with PU reinforced knee pads fitted for additional protection.

Suits come as standard with neoprene lined rubber boots

The X-treme makes an ideal suit for sports diving, in particular wreck diving,

where puncture resistance is a top priority.

Available in rear and front entry options. The suit comes with a swivelling
inlet valve, and a low profile exhaust valve as standard.

GARMENT MATERIAL
Strong, lightweight polymer coated PU material with a material weight of
approx. 474 gm/m2. Available in black/black or black/blue.

SEAMS
The seams are high frequency welded, and include an internal heat applied
seam tape for comfort. This method of seaming is highly effective particularly
where there may be contaminants present in the water.

FOOTWEAR
5 mm neoprene lined, rubber coated boots with attached fin keeper fitted as standard.

ZIPPER
Rear entry suits are fitted with an 85 cm welded PU zipper, and front entry
suits come with a 90 cm welded PU zipper. Zip flap fitted as standard.

REINFORCEMENTS
PU reinforced knee pads fitted for added durability.

SUSPENDERS
Removable adjustable elasticated suspenders come as standard with every suit.

VIKING ProTech
The ProTech suit is made of black EPDM/natural rubber on top of a very flexible
polyamide/elastane lining. The suit is fitted with rotating inlet and exhaust valves
and a medium-duty zip. Black rubber reinforcements are integrated on the
suit and covers the lower front leg over the knee to the seat and also across
the shoulders. Rubber coated neoprene boots are fitted to the suit for optimal
comfort. As an option, the Viking ProTech can be equipped with cargo pocket,
cylinder pocket and/or knife pocket and a relief zip.

GARMENT MATERIAL
A very flexible knitted polyamid/elastane fabric coated on one side with a
blend of un-vulcanized natural rubber (NR) and synthetic EPDM rubber. The
qualities of the material provides a suit with extreme flexibility while meeting
requirements of both maximum mobility and durability.
Total material weight (lining and rubber coating): 1250 ± 100 g/m2.

STITCHED SEAMS BECOME SEAMLESS
Stiched seams from the tailoring are covered on the outside with rubber
tape of the same rubber blend as the suit material. When all seams are
covered, the suit is vulcanized in order to get the seams sealed and watertight.
In fact, it can be stated that the vulcanization process makes the
suit seamless. The chemical reaction occuring during vulcanization joins
together and binds the rubber coated garment material and the rubber
tape and hence creates one material.

GLUED SEAMS
Glued seams, e.g. attachment of sleeve rings, cuffs, neckseal and hood
are covered and glued with vulcanized rubber tape.

FOOTWEAR
Rubber coated neoprene boots are sewn to the legs of the suit. The boot
has a fin-strap retainer on the heel to prevent fins from sliding off. An alternative
to neoprene boots, are the standard Viking rubber boots.

VIKING ProAm
(Black/Red Top or Black/Black)
The Viking ProAm (formerly Hunter/Gates Pro-Am 1050) is manufactured from
a compound of EPDM/Natural Rubber with a two way stretch polyester lining.
The suit is fitted with rotating inlet valve and hose, and auto/manual exhaust
valve. Suits feature a medium duty zip. The suit is reinforced on the shoulders,
waist, backside and over knee to boot. Integral boots with cushioned insole
and ankle reinforcement are standard.

GARMENT MATERIAL
Strong flexible knitted black polyester fabric is coated on the outside with
layers of natural rubber (NR) and synthetic EPDM rubber. The total material
weight (lining and rubber coating): 1050 +/- 100 g/m2.

STITCHED SEAMS BECOME SEAMLESS
The suit panels are stitched together from the inside with a stretch tape to
cover the seam, along with four rows of stitching. The outside seams are
taped by hand with an uncured rubber tape. The whole suit is then vulcanised
using heat and pressure in order to make the suit watertight. In fact it
could be said that this process makes the suit seamless. Heat and pressure
create a chemical reaction which cross links the tape and body together.

GLUED SEAMS
Final components such as neck and wrist seals, glove rings, neoprene or
latex hoods are glued to the suit, and then taped where necessary.

FOOTWEAR
The boots are formed as an extension of the leg, and there is no joining
seam. Construction includes a stiffener for the sole, and a cushioned footbed
for comfort. Anti slip outsole material is added for grip and strength.
Ankle protectors are built into the boots. Safety boots with a steel midsole
and steel toe cap may be fitted on request.

VIKING PRO 1000 (Red)

stretch polyester lining. The suit is fitted with rotating inlet and exhaust
valves and a heavy-duty zip. The suit is equipped with black integrated reinforcements
from the foot over the knee to the seat. Boots are fitted with fin-strap
holders. As an option, the Viking Pro 1000 can be equipped with cargo pocket,
cylinder pocket and/or knife pocket and a relief zip.

GARMENT MATERIAL
Strong and flexible knitted polyester fabric coated on one side with a blend
of un-vulcanised natural rubber (NR) and synthetic EPDM rubber.
Total material weight (lining and rubber coating): 1050 ± 100 g/m2.

STITCHED SEAMS BECOME SEAMLESS

tape of the same rubber blend as the suit material. When all seams are
covered, the suit is vulcanised in order to get the seams sealed and watertight.

suit seamless. The chemical reaction occuring during vulcanisation joins
together and binds the rubber coated garment material and the rubber
tape and hence creates one material.

GLUED SEAMS
Glued seams, e.g. attachment of sleeve rings, cuffs, hoods and safety
boots, are covered and glued with vulcanised rubber tape.

FOOTWEAR
Heavy-duty rubber soles are stitched to the legs of the suit and together
form the boots. The seam is covered with a double layer of rubber tape
for abrasion resistance. The sole itself has a rough ”anti-slip” surface.
The boot has a fin-strap retainer on the heel to prevent fins from sliding
off. As an alternative to the regular rubber boots, the suit can be delivered
both with rubber coated neoprene boots or steel-toed safety boots.

cover the seam, along with four rows of stitching.

GLUED SEAMS
Final components such as neck and wrist seals, helmet yokes, glove rings,
neoprene or latex hoods are glued to the suit, and then taped where
necessary.

FOOTWEAR
The heavy duty, high volume boots are formed as an extension of the leg,
and there is no joining seam. Construction includes a stiffener for the sole,
and a cushioned footbed for comfort. Anti slip outsole material is added
for grip and strength. Ankle protectors are built into the boots. Safety boots

VIKING HDS 1000

- HAZMAT DIVING SUIT
Viking HDS sets the new standard among vulcanized rubber dry suits.
HDS suits are made of NITECS, a new and US patent pending rubber
material developed by the Trelleborg Group. NITECS provides unsurpassed
protection against chemical permeation along with extreme
durability against wear and tear. The suit is fitted with rotating inlet
and exhaust valves and a heavy-duty zip, equipped with integrated
reinforcements from the foot over the knee to the seat. As an option,
the Viking HDS 1000 can be equipped with cargo pocket, cylinder
pocket and/or knife pocket and a relief zip.

NITECS – EXTREMELY DURABLE GARMENT MATERIAL (US PATENT PENDING)
NITECS is developed with the sole purpose of providing never before
seen protection against chemical permeation along with extreme durability
against abrasion damages. Demanding diving applications and
diving in heavily contaminated and polluted waters have never been
safer. NITECS offers not only a higher protection index against aggressive
chemicals and contaminants like petroleum, diesel and aviation fuels
but is doing so while keeping the material weight very low. HDS suits are
all made of 1050 g/m² NITECS material and thus very comfortable and
easy to work in.

VULCANIZED DRY SUITS
Stitched seams from the tailoring are covered on the outside with rubber
tape of the same rubber blend as the suit material. When all seams are
covered, the suit is vulcanised in order to make the seams sealed and
watertight. In fact, it can be stated that the vulcanisation process makes
the suit seamless. The chemical reaction occurring during vulcanisation
connects and binds the rubber coated garment material and the rubber
tape and hence creates one seamless material.

GLUED SEAMS
All glued seams, e.g. attachment of sleeve rings, cuffs, hood and safety
boots, are covered and glued with vulcanised NITECS tape.

VIKING VSN
- Comfort and durability in unique
combination
The Viking VSN suit is made from a unique rubber based material. It has a core
of black EPDM/natural rubber, which is covered with stretch Armatex Nylon
on both sides. Technically it is a vulcanized rubber suit, but without the vulcanized
“style” appearance. The suit is fitted with rotating inlet and exhaust
valves and a medium-duty zip. Black rubber reinforcements are integrated on
the suit and cover the lower front leg over the knee. For optimal comfort, the
suit is fitted with rubber coated neoprene boots. Configuration options also
include cargo pockets, a wide range of hoods and neck seals, ring systems for
dry gloves and reflective markings.

VSN - UNIQUE GARMENT MATERIAL
A flexible and stretchy knitted Armatex Jersey Nylon covers both sides of a
mid-ply of black NR/EPDM rubber. Material construction is in that sense a
trilaminate material comprising qualities as outstanding flexibility, comfort
and durability. It has an average material weight of 1100 g/m2. As such, it
has the comfort of compressed neoprene combined with the durability of
vulcanized rubber. The material is totally non-compressible which means
no loss of buoyancy or insulation while diving.

VULCA-SEAM TECHNOLOGY - UNIQUE SEALING OF SEAMS
Like on a regular vulcanized rubber suit, rubber tape is used to cover and
seal the seams. The only difference is that on Viking VSN, the stitched
seams are covered on the inside of the suit with tape of the same rubber
blend as the mid-ply suit material. The inside seams are pre-treated with a
special solution and then covered with rubber tape whereupon the suit is
vulcanized in order to get the seams totally sealed and watertight.

FOOTWEAR
The standard boot option is rubber coated neoprene boots, sewn onto
the legs of the suit. The boot has a fin-strap retainer on the heel to prevent
fins from sliding off.

VIKING HWS - HOT WATER SUIT
Durability and comfort in combination
The Viking Hot Water Suit (HWS) features a suit made from a unique rubber based
material – Viking VSN material. It has a core of black EPDM/natural rubber,
which is covered with stretch Armatex Nylon on both sides. Technically it is a
vulcanized rubber suit, but without the vulcanized “style” appearance. Primary
advantages of the VSN material are that the body is thin, flexible and very hard
wearing, but most importantly, does not shrink when constantly dried in an industrial
dryer. The suit is fitted with a tube system on the inside for dispersion
of the hot water, covering torso, arms and legs. On/off valve on the outside of
the right leg has a maximum working pressure of 40 bar. Lower front legs and
knees are covered with black rubber reinforcements for additional durability.

VSN - UNIQUE GARMENT MATERIAL
A flexible and stretchy knitted Armatex Jersey Nylon covers both sides of a
mid-ply of black NR/EPDM rubber. Material construction is in that sense a
trilaminate material comprising qualities as outstanding flexibility, comfort
and durability. It has an average material weight of 1100 g/m2. As such, it
has the comfort of compressed neoprene combined with the durability of
vulcanized rubber. The material is totally non-compressible which means
no loss of buoyancy or insulation while diving. A special advantage of using
VSN material for a Hot Water Suit application is its ability to withstand shrinking
when constantly being exposed to the heat from industrial dryers.
Stitched seams are covered both on outside and inside of the suit. The
outside seams are covered with a durable elastic nylon ribbon whereas
the inside seams are pre-treated with a special rubber solution for both
reinforcement and protection prior to vulcanization. Together it creates a
very tough and hardwearing seam.

VIKING SRS
- A new addition to the Viking range
specifically for surface use.
The Viking SRS is made from Nylon/Butyl/Nylon trilaminate drysuit material,
which offers strength and durability, combined with being lightweight for ease
of transportation. The SRS may also be supplied in Cordura/Butyl/Polyester material
upon request. Seams are produced with the ”Vulca-Seam Technology”,
which creates totally watertight seams and a suit that could be described as
seamless. Suits are fitted with a medium duty non magnetic zip, which is protected
with a zip flap as standard. New “Superfabric” knee pads with flexible,
cut, puncture and abrasion resistant “guard plates” are fitted to complete the
strengthening of the suit.

GARMENT MATERIAL
350 gm/m2 Nylon/Butyl/Nylon material. Lightweight, hardwearing and
puncture and abrasion resistant. Smooth exterior finish.
Colours: Black/Black, Black/Red, Black/Yellow.
450 gm/m2 Cordura/Butyl/Polyester material may be specified upon
request. Available in the same colour combinations as above.
All material weights are approximate. Trilaminate suits MUST be worn with
an undersuit, as the material provides no claimed insulation properties.

VULCA-SEAM TECHNOLOGY
Traditionally, trilaminate suit seams are either glued and taped, or heat
taped. Either method may lead to leaky seams at some point in the life of a
suit. Viking trilaminate suits feature a unique method of seam sealing called
“Vulca-Seam Technology”. Just like a rubber suit, the seams are first chemically
treated, then an uncured rubber tape is applied to the inside seam
using heat and pressure. The whole suit is then loaded into a vulcaniser, and
the tape is cured into the seam. The suit could then almost be described as
seamless. This produces a totally watertight seam – guaranteed.

DIVEABLE REPLICA US NAVY STYLE DRESS

FOR U. S. NAVY MK-V HELMETS

Cat No. 26013NR

Call for price quotation

Due to many requests by tourist attractions, collectors, and vintage equipment hobby divers, DESCO is selling a "look alike" or replica US Navy Mark V diving dress that is usable for diving.

The suit material is 1/8" thick neoprene foam sheet with fabric on both sides. The covering of the suit is white Polyester fabric outside and nylon super heavy weave fabric inside. The outside white finish is as near to the look of the old cotton dresses, as it is possible to get with modern long lasting materials.  The super heavy weave nylon inside eliminates the stretch, normally associate with neoprene suits, to a minimum, yet allows much more flexibility than the old cotton material. The knee pads, elbow pads and the leg lace attachments are made of polyester Cordura ™ to insure long life.  The pads and lacings are sized and placed on the dress to original U S Navy specifications. The breast plate gasket is vulcanized black natural rubber, molded as specified for the original dresses. Wrist seals (cuffs) are Black Neoprene.

The old stiff, heavy reinforced feet are replaced with a foot that still looks authentic except for a sole on the bottom of the foot.  The standard size is men's # 13, but smaller sizes can be special ordered at no extra cost.
