General Policy

When DESCO ships a new helmet it is as safe, reliable, and simple to operate and maintain as possible. With regular care a DESCO helmet should give many years of trouble free service. The simplicity and reliability of our helmets however should not lull a diver into complacency. All our helmets should receive regular care and maintenance to keep them in top condition. The helmets as designed are the best combination of attributes to give all round satisfactory performance. No helmet should be "field modified". If special requirements are needed DESCO will work with you to effect a safe and reliable modification. DESCO has always been sensitive to the needs of the diving industry as evidenced by the variety of helmet styles we offer. As DESCO strives to make diving equipment better, safer, and more user friendly we welcome comments and suggestions from diving companies, regulating agencies, and especially divers, whose safety is our ultimate goal.

Ordering

DESCO accepts orders , by telephone, fax, e-mail, post, or online. Telephone orders can be made from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Central Time by calling 414-272-2371. Pricing

DESCO reviews its pricing at the end of each calendar year. If warranted, price adjustments are made at that time and a new pricelist is issued to be effective on January 1st. Please verify the price of an item at the time of order. DESCO reserves the right to change prices without notice. Prices not appearing on the website are available by request. The DESCO Commercial Diving Equipment catalog and retail price list are available by mail. A separate Specialty Item Brochure is also available with a corresponding retail price list. All prices quoted are FOB Milwaukee, WI. Additional charges for shipping, handling, insurance, etc. will be added to the final invoice total. If you require a quote of the invoice total cost in advance please specify when ordering. Please provide a "ship to" address for calculating the shipping charges. DESCO reserves the right to change prices without notice so it is advisable to confirm a listed price before ordering.

Payment

DESCO accepts payment by check, Mastercard, Visa, or by UPS COD. Preferred payment for overseas orders is by credit card or wire transfer. International orders paid by check will be held until the check clears our bank.

Shipping

In stock items will ship within a few days contingent on payment arrangements. Invoices with out of stock items will be held until a complete shipment can be made unless otherwise requested by the customer. Delivery times will depend on carrier and delivery type selected. All domestic shipments are by UPS or U.S. Mail unless an alternate shipper is requested by the customer. UPS next day, second day, and Saturday delivery are available. Overseas orders will be handled by U.S. Mail Parcel Post, or a freight forwarder. DESCO will drop ship for $25.00 per package. DESCO charges a $7.00 handling fee per package.
 

Materials Pricing Notice

DESCO makes every effort to keep our prices competitive. Our policy has been to review pricing at the end of each year, and adjust accordingly for the next year. Due to large price increases in raw materials DESCO has been forced to increase prices on some products. We have to this point absorbed the costs of material price increases and surcharges. Our casting supplier, copper spinning supplier, and plating supplier have all notified us they will be passing along increases to us.

The price increases we have made are on products which are largely Copper and Brass. In the last six months Copper has risen 50%, Brass has risen 40%, and Tin (for plating) has risen 6%. We anticipate increases in materials which are petroleum derived. Plastic and Neoprene prices have or will soon follow suit.

The strong world demand for raw materials will continue to drive prices up. DESCO is committed to hold retail prices as long as possible but any large increases will be passed on .
